Innovation from the start

The firm that changed how pension plans are managed.

We saw there was a way to streamline the traditional pension risk transfer process, so we did it. Quantum Pension Solutions is an independent pension de-risking firm. While our speciality is our four-month PRT process, we apply a de-risking lens when working with plan sponsors at any stage of the plan cycle. Our streamlined process, prioritization of participant experience and fully in-house team sets us apart from traditional firms and allows us to find cost-savings that your current providers aren't.

About us

A decade spent on one problem.

This team has been de‑risking pension plans together since 2015. In that time, we developed the 120 day termination process, compressing an industry standard 12 to 18 month timeline into four months, and we have executed 100s of de-risking projects across every plan size and industry.

Credentialed actuaries, plan administration, government filings, participant communication, and the insurer auction all sit under one roof. Nothing is outsourced, and no workstream waits in another firm's queue. That structure allows our process runs in months instead of years, and it is how we implement strategies most plan sponsors' current providers are not even aware of.

Every discipline de‑risking requires, under one roof.

De‑risking Strategy

Funding analysis, timing, and exit design: lump sum windows, retiree lift outs, targeted settlements, and full plan termination, sequenced for the best economics your filings support.

Actuarial Valuation and Certification

Plan valuations, government schedules, and the actuarial certifications behind every number we publish, signed by our own credentialed actuaries.

Insurer Auction Management

Liability data prepared to insurer standards, then bid competitively across the group annuity market to secure the lowest premium for the identical benefit.

Participant Communication

Election materials, call support, and one on one guidance. Our administrators average 8.5 minutes per participant call against an industry average of 2.5.

Plan Administration and Data

Census scrubbing, benefit calculations, and recordkeeping brought current early, so elections and settlement proceed without delay.

Compliance and Filings

PBGC and IRS filings, participant notices, and the final standard termination filing that closes the plan for good.

Leadership

The people on every engagement.
